Ohio State moves up a spot to 7th in latest AP Poll
After a closer-than-expected 52-49 win in Bloomington last night, the Ohio State Buckeyes (7-0, 3-0 B1G) have moved up one spot to 7th in the latest Associated Press Top-25.
Ohio State QB Braxton Miller finished last night against the Hoosiers with 211 yards and two touchdowns in the air and another 149 yards and a touchdown on the ground. RB Carlos Hyde had another fantastic performance with 156 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, and WR Devin Smith hauled two touchdowns from Miller.
The Alabama Crimson Tide remained in the top spot, followed by Oregon, Florida, Kansas State and Notre Dame to round out the top five. South Carolina dropped out of the top five after their road loss to now-6th ranked LSU, as did West Virginia after their 49-14 blowout loss in Lubbuck to the Texas Tech Red Raiders, a performance that helped close the gap between WVU QB Geno Smith and the Buckeyes’ Braxton Miller in the 2012 Heisman race.
Michigan is the only other B1G team ranked this week, coming in at #23.
