Bri’onte Dunn stepped up when his number was called late in the game during the 52-22 victory on Saturday over the Illini. The freshman from Canton, Ohio and GlenOak High School had his opportunity to get reps with quarterback Kenny Guiton in the last nine minutes of the game. Posting a career-best day, Dunn saw the most extended time this season and as a freshman pleased more than just Coach Urban Meyer in the appearance. Named the Freshman of the Week by the Big Ten Conferece his career-best day helped earn that honor.
Dunn scored his second career touchdown with 1:26 left in the fourth quarter, with the previous being against Miami back in September. He had 13 rushes for 73-yards and a 5.6 yards per carry average. He has rushed 25 times this year for 133 net yards and to this date has not lost a yard from scrimmage
