In the spirit of the “New Years Resolution Crowd” sure to show up at the gym next Wednesday, I’m reposting one of my all-time favorite posts. I haven’t added or changed anything, but any additional comments of suggestions are always welcome!
One thing I have always debated writing something about, even before this little Buckeye Empire adventure started, is what I believe are some simple gym faux pas. Now I do understand that not everyone who signs up for a gym membership has even been in one before. I also understand that the gym signing you up does absolutely nothing, besides try to sell you personal training, to train you on how to use equipment, or what the hell to do at all. This is one of the main reasons you have so many people constantly dodging each other, leaving weights everywhere, and basically just making anyone who has been in the gym a while completely uncomfortable. So here is a quick run-down of what I believe to be a good guide making your way around your typical gym.
