Buckeyes Make The Cut

On January 6, 2013 by Charles Doss

2013 Findlay Prep (NV) big man Gavin Schilling recently trimmed  his list of potential schools to ten.  The Buckeyes were one of those lucky teams to gavin_schilling_988_lmake the cut for the 6’9 235lb Forward.  Joining Ohio State on Schilling’s list are Michigan State, Minnesota, Villanova, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Oregon State, UCLA, Georgetown & Missouri.

Buckeye fans have been on the edge of their seat waiting to find out who the staff might offer to finish off the class of 2013.  Schilling could very well be one of those recruits  ” Yes they have offered, I’m in contact with Coach Jeff Boals the most, Coach Matta really likes my style of play and how aggressive I am”.

When asked to break down the former Chicago De La Salle ballers game, James Kerti a High School scout and Editor of Premierball.Com had the following to say ” Gavin Schilling is a strong, physical prospect who scores with finesse in the paint.  His touch and footwork helps make him a savvy, efficient scorer”.

If  Findlay Prep doesn’t sound familiar it should, it is the same school  Freshman guard and fan favorite Amedeo Della Valle attended.  Even though Gavin has no visits lined up, he is definitely a recruit Bucknuts should be aware of.

That is a lot of schools, with some big names missing....looks like me trying to decide on which flavor of ice cream to select. Good luck Buckeyes, but 1 of 10 does not seem promising.
