#1 Florida State

The Good: Florida State embarrassed the Florida Gators and pushed Will Muschamp that much closer to an early exit out of Gainesville. Florida is atrocious this season but Florida State’s 37-7 victory was still impressive.

The Bad: The Seminoles struggled to catch their stride offensively through most of the first half but they were able to turn things around in a hurry.

Did the coaches get it right?: No. I have Florida State at #2. Ohio State is a better football team with a better head coach.

#2 Ohio State

The Good: Ohio State beat that team up north for the 11th time in 13 years! The Buckeyes have the best offense in the nation and it showed on Saturday. Braxton Miller and Carlos Hyde combined for 380 yards on the ground!

The Bad: Ohio State’s defense looked terrible. They somehow managed to make Al Borges look like an offensive mastermind after allowing Michigan’s offense to put up over 600 yards! There is no chance the Buckeyes win the National Title if their defense plays like this again.

Did the coaches get it right?: No. Ohio State is still the best team in the country and they should have never been jumped by Florida State.

#3 Auburn

The Good: Auburn knocked off the #1 team in the country in what is considered by many to be the best ending in the history of college football. Auburn is an awesome football team but they definitely have luck on their side this season.

The Bad: Auburn’s defense looked terrible at times. They allowed Alabama to escape twice from their own one yard line – once on a 99 yard TD pass!

Did the coaches get it right?: Yes. I don’t think they are the 3rd best team in college football but they definitely deserve to be there based off of their body of work.

#4 Alabama

The Good: The only good to come out of Alabama’s loss is the fact that the Buckeyes control their own destiny! Alabama is still a top 3 football team but they choked in their final regular season game.

The Bad: Alabama blew an opportunity to play for another title.

Did the coaches get it right?: Yes. Alabama is definitely the best 1-loss team in the country, behind the team team that beat them of course.

#5 Missouri

The Good: I am finally ready to admit that Missouri is a good football team. I wasn’t sold on the Tigers for the majority of the season but they keep winning. I am excited to see how they match up against Auburn.

The Bad: It is tough to find anything wrong with Missouri’s 2013 season or their win over Texas A&M.

Did the coaches get it right?: Yes. I think Missouri deserves to be in the top 5 heading into the SEC Championship Game.
