Johnnie Dixon joins the Empire

On December 17, 2013 by Chris Holloway

DixonTwo highly touted recruits in two days just goes to show you how much the Ohio State staff loves to recruit and their ability to close the deal on athletes from all around the country.

Yesterday, Urban Meyer and company pulled the top linebacker in the country out of Georgia in Raekwon McMillan. Today, 4-Star (Rivals) Wide Receiver Johnnie Dixon from Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Dwyer HS) announced that he will suit up in the Scarlet and Gray next season. Dixon, a speedy wideout  from talent-rich Florida, held offers from just about every major program and the final decision came down to the hometown Hurricanes, Alabama, and the Buckeyes.

In the end, Dixon pulled the trigger on Ohio State and will look to compete for a spot immediately. The 5’10″ pass catcher will be a welcome addition to the beleaguered wide receiver corps and could start in the slot from day one, provided he has a good showing in fall practice. Dixon plans on enrolling at OSU early, so the extra jump with spring practice will allow him to become acclimated to the college game quicker than most.

You can view his commitment video below.

Alright... First things we need to teach these recruits is the name of their school... It's not the University of Ohio State, it's THE Ohio State University....
