In his most recent sign of blatant substance abuse Desmond Howard has ranked the Michigan Wolverines not only in the Top 25, but in the top 10! In ESPN’s 2014 College Football Power Rankings Howard, one of the biggest homers at ESPN (which is really saying something), ranked TTUN at #6.
If they hadn’t been on such a landslide of misery for the better part of the last decade that ranking would seem pretty normal. But thanks to the likes of Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke, TTUN’s current rankings are in the gutter when it comes to anything outside of a Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
The only other analysts who votes in these power rankings that ranked TTUN in the top 25 AT ALL were Heather Dinich and Mark Schlabach. Both of which ranked Michigan dead last in the heat at #25.
Garnering comparisons to the homeristic views of Mark May, Lou Holtz, and even Fox News, Howard has clearly cemented himself as the most predictable ESPN personality since Pat Forde. Luckily that guy moved to a sports location no one actually talks about, so hopefully Howard will do the same soon.
